
Peter Austin lives with his wife and three daughters in Toronto, where he teaches English at Seneca College. He is a New Formalist (metrical) poet. Over 200 of his poems have appeared, in magazines/anthologies in the USA, Canada, the UK, Germany, South Africa, Australia, Israel and New Zealand. Among these are included The New Formalist, Contemporary Sonnet, The Raintown Review, The Barefoot Muse, The Pennsylvania Review, Lucid Rhythms, The Able Muse, The Formalist Portal and Verse Wisconsin (USA), and Contemporary Verse 2, The Antigonish Review, Queen’s Quarterly, The Windsor Review, The Eclectic Review, Sonnetto Poesia and The Prairie Review (Canada).
As well as poetry, he writes plays, and his musical adaptation of The Wind in the Willows has been produced four times, most recently in Worcester, Mass. Other plays produced are Grimaldi, The Ache’s Progress and Hansel, Gretel and a Pixilated Prince. His first collection of poems, A Many-Splendored Thing, was published in July 2010, and his second and third collections, Janus and On Occasion, in 2012.
